HTATBL is dead. Long live AHTBM!

Those of you who have followed the Swobo blog, How To Avoid The Bummer Life, may have been wondering why there has been no new activity since the fourth of August. Well let me tell you what's up. The blogs curator, the venerable Stevil Kinevil was laid off due to the hard times that we all find ourselves in these days. But hey, there are no hard feelings and swobo remains awesome and deserving of your support.

The good news is that Stevil has launched a new blog to keep himself busy and keep us all entertained. The new blog is entitled All Hail the Black Market and, as we sit here on the cusp of greatness, I urge you to check it out.

On The Map of 'Cycling Chic'.

Velopirate and local alleycat phenom Jason Bauer has put Boise in the spotlight of international cycling. That is if cyclists from around the globe are privy to the Rapha Continental project.

Rapha Performance Roadwear has this team of US cyclists that have been riding some of this countries most epic road rides all summer long. Jason's "Big Loop" caught the attention of these dudes and they showed. It so happens it was the last stop on their summer tour. 150 miles. 12,000 feet of climbing. 9 hours on the bike.

where's warlock?

i spent a few days in Bellingham, Wa. with the guys from transition bikes and traitor cycles. got to check out their new prototype bikes. the first photo is of their possible new 650b wheeled street bike perfect for the abuse of tricks and polo mallets. i was also able to take out the soon to be released TR-450 downhill bike, and damn that is a sweet rig. the rest of the photos are just a few i snapped with the phone of wizard stick tom-foolery and the amazing trail riding we got in. ex-idahoan and pro photographer Brad Walton (he's the one with the menacing wizard staff next to the fridge) was there shooting the whole escapade for mtbr.com and bike magazine, once i get my mitts on some of his shots i'll pass them along. -a41

This clip was sent to me from Jonny Hamachi of Consequences Dictate. Make sure you watch the whole thing as I'm sure you will never again see a pair of saddle sniffing priests doing what they do. Priceless.

24 Hour Velo Vulture - Portlandia

The Portland Chapter of the Warlocks Bicycle Club (No blog as of yet) will be hosting this years 24 Hour Velo Vulture on Sept. 5-6, Labor Day weekend. As you can guess it is a 24 hour event in which teams of two navigate themselves around Portland hitting stops and collecting doo-dads according to a manifest or "list of things to get/see/do". You may retrieve more information at the Velo Vulture BLOG. If you plan to attend let us know and we may be able to help out with info or a place to stay or whatever.

I still think Pauly bit Danzig the best with our Warlocks header,
