Inversion Excursion 4: My feet are cold.

Man, that shit was fun. This was my first attempt with my new Flip camera so please bear with me. I wish it caught the bike lights and glow sticks, an amazing and eerie sight from a distance. Sorry it's so dark, I was a bit distracted with the camera in one hand and the bike in the other. Not to mention trying to stay vertical on those slippery-ass river rocks. Great race VPs, thanks again.-P77

L'Inversion Excursion.

Well the pain is coming and coming quick. The fourth installment in the Velopirates' Inversion Excursion saga is upon us this Saturday. And behold there is an advanced look at the course available here. Visit their website for further details.

Now onto fish. In response to my request for a review, Pleasure Fu*ker responded in kind and pulled no punches.  He owns a discerning palate which will not be pleased by mere run of the mill tinned fish. I look forward to see where this line of blogging goes. Which brings me to JG of Consequences Dictate who surprised me with a review of his own. The game just started and the bar already gets higher.

Send That Little Fish My Way...

If you're privy to The Light Of the World you may have noticed the authors review of one can of Thai Curried Fried Sardines. They were good but we did NOT finish the can. Intriguing? Yes, but a little too sweet. I now propose that the Pleasure Fuc*er review the top of the mountain. The canned fish by which all other canned fish are judged. King Oscar Brisling Sardines in Olive Oil. Two 'motherfucking' Layer Beeeeeeeeeeyotch! Whatchoo Got?

I've just learned that Portland based Red Fang will be playing the Neurolux on February 6th. Hells Yeah! -43

Human Powered Rollercoaster.

The Human Powered Rollercoaster-Alley Cats Scramble was this awesome figure eight wooden track that would travel between Vancouver and Toronto during the late nineties. Messengers from all over the world would show up and race for three days putting in, like, three second laps. I raced it in Toronto on Halloween weekend 1998 and it will remain one of the best times I've had on or off a bicycle. The atmosphere was just great. It was here where I first experienced the euro joint. 1/2 grass, 1/2 tobacco. My first Canadian Beer Store. The first time I got to order a coffee "Regular" (cream and two sugars). My fist time in Canada. To add to the experience Fishbone was the headliner playing next to the track on Saturday night. They had people selling beer. They had people selling raw oysters. They were giving out free cigarettes (Dunhill was the main sponsor). The swag was off the hook, too. I'm not sure if it would fly these days. I definitely feel lucky to be one of the few to have raced one of these events.

So, not wanting to be outdone by the local rivals we finally got most of the club together for a group photo. Harder still was getting our colors sewn in time for the shoot, but here it is-
