Seeing as it's December in like seven minutes and we're tossing out the love to our fellow two-wheeled rivals, I am posting up the nicest beer label modification in cyberspace today.
The best holiday beer I've consumed this winter has been Anderson Valley's Winter Solstice. The best name however is (was) Full Sail's "Wreck the Halls" which has been replaced by Wassail Winter. Bikes & Rec have a winter race coming up too, go here for the skinny.
Bicycles and beers, does it get any better? Really?

Thanks much P77 (whoever you are). As long as we are riding the love train of beer I will have to recommend the Lost Reindeer at the RAM. Kevin and Jake are on the top of their game. I would hurry though, by their nature good seasonable beers seem to go away very fast...

..and you know another thing, what the fuck is up with Leinenkugel's little foray into our world? That shit they are trying to pass off as beer is really depressing me. I hope that none of you have been tricked by it because that garbage is not what midwestern beer is about.

I was always a Grain Belt guy anyway but really, really?

Sorry for the rant.

I have to step up and defend the Leinie's. You are correct the current crap we've been inundated with here is just that: crap. However, I still thoroughly enjoy the Original and the Red when I can find it. And finding it means returning to the NoCoast which I don't get to do often enough. Not sure why that brewery has chosen to push their inferior flavors into the out state markets, lame.
As for Grain Belt it kinda tastes like bananas but it's everywear in MPLS and they have the best signage and graphics (pre-"Primo" campaign). Meanwhile I've really been enjoying the $24 cases of Heineken at costco (that's almost half price!)

I could not agree with you more. I love Grain Belt for a giant sign next to a beautiful bridge. It is amazing what good design can do...or not do.site

And if you are headed East that bridge leads you straight to Nye's Polanaise Room (ahhhhh). Click on my blog name above-I'll post a blip about MPLS as most readers (those three people) here are pretty bored with our reminiscent dialogue I'm sure.

Why waste your time with all those seasonal beers? All you need is Old English and Orange juice, Best shit ever, the Brass Monkey

Brass honkey? Sheeeeeeeyut. I can't roll the 8 ball, never could. I like the Colt 45 (and it "works every time").
